homegrown class styles :

FLOW

In this vinyasa style yoga practice we use strategic sequencing, creative flows, and an integration of breath with movement to build strength, increase flexibility, and focus the mind. A typical class starts with centering and warm-ups, transitioning into standing flows and balance work, finishing with seated and reclined poses, and ending in a restful Savasana. Flow is centered on the goal of offering a unique experience every time you come to the mat. We design our classes around who is in the room to craft a challenging yet accessible flow.

ADVANCED FLOW

In this powerful flow class allow yourself to learn and play with some of the more complex yoga poses and transitions. Following a typical flow style structure, this class is a place to explore arm balances, dynamic transitions, binds, inversions and more. You’ll find power and gain confidence by opening yourself up to the challenge. This class is for practitioners who have some experience in flow-style yoga and are ready to experiment and play.

FLOW & RESTORE

In this blended class we spend the first half of the session in our signature flow style class— integrating breath and movement. The second half of class takes us into a calming and restorative state using techniques from yin yoga, restorative yoga, and meditation to find flexibility, physical relaxation, and mental focus. The goal of Flow & Restore is to find balance in movement vs stillness and strength vs flexibility. Each class will offer a unique experience to explore the yin and yang of your practice.

SCULPT

In this full body workout we pull from an extensive strength training background to create a dynamic and challenging body weight practice. Sculpt is centered around high-intensity, low-impact (no jumping) calisthenics. These movements are inspired by elements of athletic training, strength training, and even a little yoga and barre. Expect a blend of traditional workout movements like planks, squats, and push-ups with some fun and unique variations to challenge and continue to grow. Sculpt helps you learn to control and engage muscles with the goal of improving muscle strength, bone strength, and cardio endurance.

BARRE

In this high-rep, low-impact class we lean into years of ballet and yoga training to craft a full-body, upbeat, strengthening practice. Class begins with warming up on the mat, then moving to the barre for our blend of toning, lengthening, and cardio exercises. Most of the class is done standing at the barre and ends on the floor for core work and a yoga-esque rest. The tiny dance-inspired movements isolate and strengthen while requiring full body activation. Our barre classes are focused on muscular endurance while getting your heart rate up and having a good time. Barre is accessible and modifiable.

PILATES BOOTCAMP

In this energetic workout we use the principles of Pilates with the structure of a bootcamp class to combine bodyweight strengthening with low-impact aerobics. Class will move through a series of timed circuits including a bridge series, plank series, spine stabilizations, and aerobic intervals. We end with a dynamic cool down and rest. Our Pilates Bootcamp is easy to modify to your fitness level. Expect to have fun, move, and sweat!
